The Songaminute Man
My father was diagnosed with dementia in 2013. He was a singer throughout his life and is known as The Songaminute Man simply because of how many songs he knows.
As a way of calming him down from the confusion, I used to take him for long drives, singing together in the car. I started to record them and shared them online with my friends, adding a fundraising link for an Alzheimer's charity.
Then something extraordinary happened...
Dad went viral around the world, raising £150,000 for Alzheimer's charities.
Then, after years of singing in the clubs, he finally got a record deal...
